WHO WE ARE

Hello, Friends! We are a fledgling group of Weare citizens that became concerned in January 2024 when the conservation status of the East Road Banks/Shmid property was jeopardized. Our mission is to encourage the preservation of our town's rural character and natural habitats. We have seen how quickly land in town can get developed and realized that Weare's rural character is rapidly degraded when open spaces are altered, thereby irreparably harming wildlife, natural resources, and the town's appeal. We decided to educate ourselves and others.
